Hauntingly Beautiful - From Mussoories to Chakrata

At this point in time, I’m a little scared and have to deal with a mental block, since I have to describe an unsought place that I came across en route to Chakrata via Mussoorie. I’m scared because I don’t want to belittle the beauty of that place and it won’t be justice to that place if I’m not able to put it into just words. Having said that, let me try to make you imagine what serendipity I encountered.
After staying for a night in Mussoorie, the next morning, my friend says that rather going to Dehradun, we’d better continue travelling.
*My forehead wrinkles*
His suggestion seems like a vial of a sedative kept in front of an addict. And, like an addict, I am drawn to the vial and gulp it down my throat. Hallucinating, I nod to the suggestion. Without wasting a second, he opens Google Maps on his phone and does some research.
Suddenly, he exclaims, “Chakrata!”
We kick off our trip to Chakrata. I kick start my scooter and race against the freezing winds. After a short while, when our stomach starts rumbling, we stop at Kempty Fall, which is at a distance of thirteen kilometres from Mussoorie, and have sumptuous breakfast.
Since there’s no petrol pump between Kempty Fall and Chakarata, we decide to carry some petrol with us.
Tip: many small shops sell petrol on the way, but I advise you not to take a risk and carry some fuel along with you.
On our way, we go past beautiful hamlets shrouding fog and meadows on the top of mountains, while the weather is windy. Time and again, the chilly wind pierces our thin skins and freezes our vital organs, and sometimes, it becomes extremely hard to ride in the freezing weather; thus, we halt, when we feel the weather becoming extremely distressing, and sip hot teas at small stalls.
At this moment, after riding for more than an hour, we realise that it’s been an hour since we saw humans or animals. We’ve travelled through several mountains but saw no one except the howling wind and yellow mountains. We don’t stop as here’s no shop.  No one is here; not even god. It feels scary as well as peaceful at the same time. But, we keep on riding.
Out of nowhere, we come across a picturesque location and see dense clouds sliding down a mountain. We immediately stop to capture this moment.
*See the pictures and video for reference.*
Truth be told, this is the most beautiful place that I’ve visited thus far. I make a time-lapse of clouds going down along a mountain’s slope. Watching the serene view, I feel like sitting here forever.
My friend mentions, “This place is hauntingly beautiful.”
I have to agree with him, for when I look around, I see myself surrounded by tall mountains and a splendid view that makes heaven jealous of it.
My friend further adds, “Perhaps, this place is full of enchanting fairies and we shouldn’t stop here for a long time.”
He insists on proceeding. Although I sense and understand his fear, I overlook his fear and stay a little longer to soak the moment.
I hope I’m not possessed by any spirits.
