“It’s not just an idea” is a clause that gives the sense of incompleteness, and it also begs the question: then, what is it? It’s a notion. Learning which is taken from the life of the people who worked hard to make their lifeless idea alive. It’s ironic that when an idea is born inside you, it’s dead, but thankfully it generates an unknown energy within you. This energy is equivalent to the worth of the idea in your life, and it’s so powerful that people around you can easily feel the vibes. Only this energy can resuscitates the dead idea, and genius are those people who channelize the energy and let their ideas feed on it ravenously.
Likewise, DTown Robotics, the brainchild of Avinash Pal and Manas Upadhyay, was once an idea that would have remained dead if they hadn’t worked hard and taken a leap of faith.
An idea is just like a seed that has to survive harsh climatic conditions to undergo a metamorphosis and become a sapling. Without a strong determination to survive, the seed can never feel how warm the sun is and how beautiful water drops look on fresh leaves.
Five years ago, the founders of DTown Robotics were college-going teens who were carefree and didn’t give a damn. After finishing college, Avinash took the road less travelled by and broke the status quo by doing what he believed was right, unlike the people who completely relied on the education system. A few years later, Manas bumped into Avinash when Avinash was still figuring out what life really was. Because of the same beliefs and mind-set, they clicked and started working together.
I would be telling you a lie if I said, “They were always sure of what they were doing.” Their faith to be a company was shaken many times, as the founders had to go through fire and water to make it possible. Many seasons came and went, they remained undeterred and kept on doing one thing that meant God to them. When everyone’s walking on already paved road, the duo picked the spade and made a path. Passion. No. But, the dedication and hard work that helped them achieve what they are today.
